The film does not go deeply into religious issues even though the events that we see are based upon biblical passages and the fact that the city of Jerusalem is considered to be one of the three apocryphal gates to hell. While this might seem to be a gimmick, the film actually goes through great effort to explain why Sarah keeps wearing the glasses throughout the film. I ever thought that one day I would see a zombie horror film in Hebrew and from Israel.
